Celebrating the 3rd Annual Transgender History Month
August marks the beginning of San Francisco’s 3rd Annual Transgender History Month, a pivotal time to recognize and celebrate the rich history and contributions of transgender individuals within the broader queer community. This month, the Office of Transgender Initiatives, alongside Mayor London Breed and other community leaders, kicked off the celebrations with a powerful flag-raising ceremony and inspiring speeches at SF City Hall.
A Powerful Ending to Non-Binary Awareness Week
Yesterday at Queer LifeSpace, we celebrated International Non-Binary People's Day, an essential occasion to recognize and honor the contributions and experiences of non-binary individuals within the broader queer community. International Non-Binary People's Day is also the last day of Non-Binary Awareness Week which begins July 8 and ends July 14.

Despite having a secure lease until 2027, the nonprofit is being shaken down for dubious fees and penalties supposedly accrued during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Outlandish! and Arc'teryx Partner Up To Support LGBTQIA+ Youth
We are excited to announce our new partnership with premium outerwear brand Arc'teryx! This summer, Arc’teryx gifted the Outlandish! Program with a $5k community grant to support us in our mission to provide free outdoor educational day trips to LGBTQIA+ teens in the Bay Area. Most importantly, this grant will help us provide transportation to the wonderful variety of recreational spaces in our region.
