Greg Harris

Greg Harris III (He-Him-His). He is a PsyD student at the California Institute of Integral Studies. As a young, Black, Queer, native San Franciscan, he has made it his mission in life to love the world in the same way his city has loved him. Being a San Franciscan has taught him how to see beyond the things that everyone calls differences as the beauty that makes us all unique. That is what he has brought to all of the work that he has been able to do thus far, especially as the founding Pastor of Freedom Place Church. As Pastor Greg spends his time and efforts fighting for marginalized communities and helping change the narrative in religion’s role in demonizing the Queer community. He ensures safe space for LGBTQIA+ folks who worship God by illuminating the truth in the bible how God loves and is not situated in hate.

Greg is intentional about speaking truth to power and helping heal folks by stepping into the container WITH whomever has solicited his help. Helping people heal is his ultimate goal and calling in the world! As a Psychodynamic focused trainee, he utilizes an integrative therapeutic orientation to insure healthy therapeutic relationships based on the client’s needs.When he is not studying or providing community support as Pastor, he is enjoying being a provider and protector to my sons and three daughters.
