Thank You to Palo Alto Networks for their Donation to QLS

On Thursday, June 29, Palo Alto Networks held a Pride party on the campus of their Santa Clara, CA headquarters. The event was titled: “Colors of Resilience: Embracing Queer Mental Wellness and Pride.” Queer LifeSpace had the honor of being the single beneficiary of the event. We are immensely grateful for their support towards our mission of providing access to affordable mental healthcare services to the LGBTQIA+ community.

The event began with Queer LifeSpace’s Executive Director, Ryan MacCarrigan, delivering a presentation titled: “Enhancing LGBTQIA+ Client Outcomes: The Crucial Role of Queer-Affirming Therapy”. He spoke on the importance of providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for members of the queer community, and provided an overview of the services offered at Queer LifeSpace.

From 1-3pm was the “Powerblouse” show, which included multiple performances by the incredibly talented Juanita MORE!, Dulce De Leche, and Rahni Nothingmore.

The event ended with Palo Alto Network’s Kynd Kits Creation Activity, where attendees created teen mental health packages for donation to Queer LifeSpace. The kits included: blank cards and envelopes, DIY canvas bags, journals, adult coloring books, stress relief tools, DIY keychains, DIY friendship bracelets, fidget toys, supplies for decorating, and a list of mental health resources.

We would like to once again demonstrate our gratitude to Palo Alto Networks for believing in our mission, their dedication to equality and inclusivity, and their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals. The donated funds will contribute significantly to our ability to expand services to those in need.
