For more than a decade, Queer LifeSpace has provided high-quality, low-cost therapy to members of the Bay Area’s LGBTQIA+ community.

Individual Therapy

Our primary mission is to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive one-on-one environment for all of our clients. As a result, our intake process involves screening each client and matching them to the clinician that best fits their needs and goals. We know how important it is to be paired with someone who understands and shares lived experiences in order to form a safe and healing clinician-client relationship. Each client will work with their clinician to set meeting times and rates based on sliding scale. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and start at $30/session.

Couples therapy

These are challenging times and we understand that they can affect how we relate to each other. Our clinicians are trained in helping couples navigate the complexities of relationships as well as nourishing an environment in which healing dialogues can happen. Sessions are 50-60 minutes depending on the clinician’s preference and scheduling concerns. Sessions start at $50, sliding scale.

Group Therapy

There is great value in sharing within a small community. Queer LifeSpace believes in the strength of finding common ground between people who are facing similar challenges. Currently, all groups are being held on Zoom until further notice. Sessions are 90 minutes and start at $15. Who runs it

Clinicians who provide services are either in practicum placements through their graduate programs or associates who are accruing supervised hours toward their licensing exam. Our clinicians come from a variety of different programs and work in various modalities. This is one of the factors that we take into consideration when setting up a therapist with a client.
