Naomi Kosman-Wiener

Naomi Kosman-Wiener (pronouns: she/her) is a third-year doctoral psychology student at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. Naomi was born and raised in San Francisco, and has struggled to leave the Bay Area apart from going to college for four years in Connecticut. She is currently working as a trainee at Queer LifeSpace, and loves the opportunity to get to learn from and collaborate with queer clients and clinicians.

She predominantly uses a psychodynamic and relational lens to working with folks. Prior to beginning graduate school, Naomi worked as an au pair for a year in Paris and then worked as a counselor at a residential treatment center for teenagers in San Francisco. In her first two years at the Wright Institute, Naomi was placed at a continuation high school in Richmond, CA and subsequently a community mental health clinic that offers low-fee psychodynamic therapy in Berkeley.

Naomi loves hearing other peoples’ stories and connecting with others on a deep, emotional level. In her free time, Naomi enjoys watching TV and films, reading novels, snuggling her cat, going on long walks around the city, and listening to music.
